Help Us Deliver Free Healthcare to Sudanese Refugees in Cairo, Egypt.

In collaboration with Cardiff for Sudan, we are organising a five-day humanitarian medical mission from 21–25 November 2026, bringing together approximately 100 healthcare volunteers to provide free medical consultations, investigations, medications and specialist care/surgeries to displaced Sudanese people. The mission will take place at Sayeda Zeinab Hospital, Cairo Clinic Hospital and Tebaba Clinic in Cairo, Egypt.

Why This Mission Matters
Since the outbreak of the war in Sudan in April 2023, millions of people have been forced to flee their homes, with many seeking refuge in Egypt.

As of June 2026, nearly 852,000 Sudanese refugees were registered with UNHCR in Egypt, and one in three Sudanese refugees faces difficulties accessing medical care when needed.

Financial difficulties and barriers to medical services mean that many individuals struggle to afford essential medications, investigations and treatment.

This is particularly concerning for children, pregnant women, elderly individuals and those living with chronic medical conditions.

Our Mission
From 21–25 November 2026, our medical mission brings together doctors, newly qualified medical graduates and healthcare professionals across ten teams:
  • General Medicine
  • Surgery
  • Emergency Medicine
  • Dentists
  • Obstetrics and Gynaecology
  • Paediatrics
  • Mental Health
  • Radiology
  • Ophthalmology
  • Newly Qualified Medical Graduates

Working within the hospital and clinic, our volunteers aim to provide free medical consultations, investigations, specialist assessments and essential treatments.

How the Funds Will Be Used
This is a non-profit humanitarian initiative, with healthcare professionals volunteering their time and expertise.

Donations will help fund:
  • Essential medications – Treatment for common illnesses, infections and chronic conditions.
  • Diagnostic investigations – Blood tests, laboratory investigations and imaging.
  • Medical equipment – Instruments required for clinical examinations and specialist assessments.
  • Medical supplies – Dressings, gloves, syringes and other essential supplies.
  • Transport and logistics – Delivery of medical supplies to the Sayeda Zeinab Hospital and Tebaba Clinic

How You Can Help
Through this mission, we hope to improve access to essential healthcare for Sudanese refugees in Egypt who may otherwise struggle to receive medical attention.

Sudanese refugees have already endured displacement and loss; accessing basic healthcare should not be another struggle.

Every contribution, no matter the amount, will help us provide the medications, equipment and resources needed to support our patients.

We would be grateful for any donations or shares to help us reach our fundraising goal
