The people who regularly work out at Stern's Gym are more like a family then simply fellow gym members.
So when word got back that one of our own was in need of help, we pooled our resources and heeded the call.
On October 28th, 2021, competitive body builder  Sidney Phipps, a long time Stern's Gym member, received a troubling diagnosis.
After falling short of breathe and suffering from continuous loss of sleep, the 45 year old thought it best to take himself to the ER. The decision proved a fateful one. His heart, it turns out, was operating at a critically low 15%. He is also suffering from stage 3 kidney failure, a devastating blow to his health and professional career.
 We at Stern's gym are appealing to any goodwill,  support and contributions toward Sydney Phipps recovery and well being.
The financial challenges ahead will be significant and substantial. Mr. Phipps as a hardworking weightlifter and personal trainer.
Sid is facing a long road to recovery with hopes of returning to his former strength. Any support will be highly appreciated. Together, let's help a good man pull through. Thank you in advance for all your help
