Heal Nora-Lee's Cancer
Donation protected
UPDATE: Nora-Lee has spent the last 3 1/2 weeks at U of M hospital. She had an emergency surgery to remove some blockage, but during this process, the doctor was able to remove the tumor on her colon!
However, there were some complications post-surgery. Her intestines are not able to work properly. She will likely require another surgery, but this will not be for another month or so while her body gets some time to heal. She will go home during this time, with an in-home nurse and the help of her husband, Troy. She will continue to require a tube to drain the stomach bile and acid, and another to provide her nutrients, as she is unable to eat food at this time.
Nora-Lee's medical bills are taking precedence over any funding for projects needed in her home (as previously outlined). She has already accrued $10,000 in medical bills OUTSIDE of the scope of her insurance.
Any help you can provide, financially or physically, goes a long way to relieve the stress on Nora-Lee and her family so that they are able to focus on healing.
Thank you, everyone. Nora-Lee's nurse today said that her room is so filled with love, and she always "has a party" in there! That's because so many people love her. <3 And it's not hard to see why.

Nora-Lee Luttrell was just diagnosed with Stage Four Colon Cancer with three additional spots on her lungs. She is a wife and a mother to two teenage sons, a beloved daughter and sister, a remarkable theater director, and a dear friend to so many. Nora-Lee is determined... She will heal this cancer.
With a combination of chemotherapy, surgery, and holistic health practices, surrounded by a community of people who love her dearly, her wellness journey now begins.
Nora-Lee is currently awaiting the medical plan for chemotherapy to shrink the tumors, and then surgery to remove as much of the tumor on the colon as possible. In the meantime, she is strengthening her immune system and her body in preparation for what is to come.
This is her current treatment plan, not covered by insurance:
Intravenous ozone 3 times per week (7 sessions) plus Vitamin C IV twice a week. Cost: $1000/ week
Anal Ozone treatment 5 times per week. Cost for Machine: $700
Daily regime of vitamin and mineral supplements. Cost: $500
Chiropractic Visits. Cost: $150 / week
Lab Tests/Echocardiogram: $500
Alternative Therapies (Reiki/Yoga/Massage): $300
Additionally, Nora-Lee has been seeing specialists, including the surgeon and the oncologist. While these tests are covered by insurance, she is responsible for everything up to her deductible.
Insurance Deductible: $3,000
These payments for medical care are putting a horrible strain on the family's finances, and there are only more tests, procedures, and treatments to come.
IMMEDIATE NEED: $9,900
In addition to these immediate medical needs, there are some long-term needs that should be met in order for Nora-Lee's immune system to focus on healing.
Due to the construction of her home, there is a spot in the roof of a well-used room that leaks. The walls in that spot are soft and filled with mold. There is also mold inside the shower walls (drywall) in their only bathroom.
These mold spores pose a threat to Nora-Lee's weakened immune system, and she needs all the strength she has to heal the cancer. These moldy walls and flooring should be removed and replaced and a new bath/shower insert installed in the bathroom.
The estimated cost for materials for this reconstruction is $9,500.
There may be other costs along the road, but this will help a great deal as Nora-Lee, with the support of her family, begins her healing process.
Nora-Lee's light shines, even as she wrestles with this new challenge in her life. Her patience and kindness, her peaceful nature and the unconditional love she has for each and every person in her life continues to be the force that connects all of us to her and to one another.
She will heal, and we will help lift her up along the journey, just as she has and would lift each of us. Thank you so much for your generous support.
