Heal my broken leg and help me dance again
Donation protected
Hi friends,
As you may well remember a little over three years ago—on my 30th birthday—I broke my leg. And I broke it bad.
The doctor I saw at the time told me I was healed, but the truth was, I had a nonunion. I was still broken. I walked on it for over a year in pain, with daily swelling, only to find out the only thing holding my leg together was the metal rod inside it.
Even now—three years later—my bones still haven’t healed. I’ve done everything I was supposed to do: reduced my activity, used a bone stimulator, stayed off it as much as I could… and it’s still broken. The pain is daily. It hurts when I walk, sit, or lie down.
Now, my only chance at relief is an ankle fusion surgery, and I need it ASAP—before things get worse or insurance changes take this option away.
What I need help with:
$1250 before June 15th to cover the first surgery-related payments.
The anesthesiologist and surgical center 800 surgery center+ 750 more for the anesthesia but I can pay that over time
$200 for a ramp, because the stairs nearly did me in last time and I can’t risk them after surgery.
I’m already sourcing building materials secondhand, getting discounts, and stretching every dollar I can. But I can’t do this alone.
If you can:
Donate (any amount truly helps)
Offer a kind word or encouragement
Or even loan me a little (I’ll absolutely pay back anyone who helps!)
It would mean more than I can say.
I want to dance again. I want to help with animal rescue again. I want to surf, hike, walk, and just cook a meal without this pain.
Thank you so much for reading and caring.
With all my heart,
Meredith Anne
