I met Dustin Infante at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan when I was 22. We went to Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning together in pursuit of our Bachelor of Science degrees. There's nothing quite like being a group of eager minds trying to craft our futures together for life with some balsa wood, paper, and glue. Somehow we all graduated and earned the opportunity to go influence the built environment around us.

Because of Dustin, I have many characteristics to appreciate. First, although I thought I was cool for being a “tough farm boy” from Mid-Michigan, Dustin taught me what mental toughness actually was through his dedication to design and the enduering creative process. Second, he opened my ears to what is The Wu Tang Clan.. I never knew Lyrical Kung Fu could get my mind so hyped up.  Third, of all the places I aspired to freely live within, it was California and it’s lifestyle. Dustin exudes what originality and the California soul is! Something you can’t just read about or simply graft. 

Dustin reached out to me earlier this year, not to invite me to get my tail beat on the golf course or to chill and watch a game together. No, he reached out to tell me he had stage 3 Lymphoma Cancer and he didn’t know what was going to happen. But he did say that it didn't matter how crazy his life was going to get, only that he was going to fight this with everything he has. He continues this relentless fight on the daily, even as you are reading this now. 

Dustin has been a lifelong friend for me and I can only imagine for you as well.
There’s two things Dustin needs your help with.

Our goal is to fundraise $10,000 dollars by New Years. Dustin is in the fight of his life and everyone dollar you put forward could help him fight on that much harder. Please donate anywhere from 20$ on up to the full amount we're aiming for in this campaign.  The less Dustin stresses about medical bills and mental stresses the more he can focus on healing through his relentless chemo and radiation treatments.
