When Bambi snapped her leg at 4 months old the options were to relieve her pain from this world, or replace her bone with a metal rod; I chose the latter. She belonged to my niece who was too young to care for a living being and adopted her. She is my first dog and I could not imagine the love this creature would bring into my life these last 3 years. The metal rod has protruded outside the skin due to irritation and inflammation in the screws. The original surgeon said she’d have the rod forever, but after seeing a new doctor, they say the bone is healed enough to remove the rod. The surgery is estimated at $3,000. We have $1,000 taken care of but ask for the generosity of friends, family, and kind strangers to help with the remaining funds. Please help restore this beautiful loving puppy back to healthy. Thank you in advance for your kindness. I know we will heal Bambi and bring her many more years of chasing ducks and squirrels on the Kern River.
