Hi, my name is Katelyn. I am the big sister to an amazing 17 year old brother named Andon. Andon was in a car accident in May, and suffered some disc injuries in his back, spending several months going to doctors and physical therapists. He also suffered from a mysterious severe pain in his right leg ever since the accident. My mom has spent time, hours, and money trying to find the cause of his ever-increasing pain. We finally found a doctor who requested an immediate MRI, and within 24 hours we were getting real answers. However, the answer was beyond anything we could have imagined. Andon had been suffering for all of these months from a tumor growing in his femur. This specific tumor is called osteosarcoma, where bone cells grow bone in his tissue. He started chemo on December 16, 2020. It will most likely be 7 more months of treatments, with a surgery to remove the tumor, a part of his femur, in between. His doctors have been amazing. He has been amazing. However, my parents must now travel every two weeks four hours from home, spend time with him during his treatments, then offer care in between. It is projected to continue to require money, time, and energy for all involved. I am watching all of this, and wanted to do something. This is what I thought of. To reach out to all who love Andon and his family. To ask you to look into your hearts to see if helping this way is a yes for you.  There will be doctor bills, travel, my mom’s van is falling apart. My parents will each miss hours they are unable to work because of the weird schedule. They still have a family to support on top of all this. During this time we could use any financial support from those who are willing to offer.  We are very thankful for all of the love thus far, and we appreciate you all<3
