HEADZUP.B.U.

I, Reginald Henderson, established HEADZ UP BARBER UNIVERSITY January 1, 2023, because I saw a need for barbering education in Indiana County, Pennsylvania. The school prepares students to become licensed barbers and to develop as professionals and entrepreneurs. In addition to providing career opportunities, HUBU also offers discounted haircuts to the Indiana community.

But UNLESS WE ARE ABLE TO RAISE SUFFICIENT FUNDS TO PURCHASE THE BUILDING, OUR SCHOOL MAY HAVE TO CLOSE. The building's owner declines to renew the lease and wishes to sell the building in the next few months. We must make a significant deposit BY SEPTEMBER 9, 2024 in order to start buying the building.

HUBU currently has two enrolled students and upcoming interviews for student registrations. In July 2024 the school graduated its first student, Rachel Bowman, one of few licensed female barbers in Indiana. Rachel is now employed full-time in Headzup Barber Shop where Quamir Mathis also works, having earned his license this year as a barber apprentice under my tutelage.
