Headstone for our Warrior Princess

Allen and Rachel Anne Ellis' daughter Edith Anne was born with a metabolic disorder known as propionic acidemia. This condition causes the liver to not process protein and fats the way that it should, ultimately leading to multiple serious problems including kidney failure. At 20 months old, Edith Anne underwent her first liver transplant on December 9, 2022. She suffered artery blockages and other complications after her first surgery causing the new liver to be damaged. On December 19th, she underwent her second liver transplant. After a long battle, Edith Anne went to her eternal home on December 29th in the arms of her mother and father. Rachel Anne and Allen are pillars of our community. Rachel is the director of the Women’s Teen Challenge in Hayden, Alabama. They are also members of Daystar Church in Cullman.
Rachel Anne and Allen have incurred a lot of expenses over the last several months with multiple trips to Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital, as well as child care for their 3 year old son (Troy Allen), while they were out of town caring for Edith Anne. If you feel it in your heart to donate to the Ellis family, I know that they would greatly appreciate it. We want to do anything that we can to help lift some of this financial burden in the months ahead. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
