My name is Hanah, and I’m raising funds to finally give my son Jaden the headstone he deserves. Jaden passed away in 2017 at just 20 months old. He was such a strong and joyful little boy. I remember about nine months before he passed, he was scratched in the eye by a dog. The next day, it became infected with staph, and we spent a week in the hospital. Even through IVs, blood work, and medicine, Jaden was still his goofy self, making all the nurses fall in love with him. His strength and spirit touched everyone around him.

Since Jaden’s passing, I’ve had three more children. Every year, I’ve tried to save for his headstone, but life’s challenges—moving, car repairs, school, and providing for my kids—always came first. Recently, I lost all my sentimental items connected to Jaden, except for a small plaque from the funeral home. This loss has made me realize how much closure and peace a headstone would bring. It would give me and my family a place to visit, honor his memory, and help us heal. With the anniversary of his passing coming up on June 9th, and his birthday on November 3rd, having his headstone in place by then would mean the world to me.
