Hi everyone,
My name is Kirsty Stead my partners name is Jack Shaw we had a stillbirth on the 08.11.2019 I was 39 weeks 6 days.

I had a perfect pregnancy hardly any sickness i thought myself very lucky as many women have difficult pregnancies due to sickness and so on. I made the 1st phone call for reduced movements very early in the pregnancy I was a new mum getting used to it all went to the hospital was checked everything was fine this led onto a second time phoned for reduced movements was examined everything was fine. As far as the midwifery team was concerned I was a new mum who was panicking and over exaggerating. (I didn't realise then that it is in there policy after 2 reduced movements they have to offer you an inducement) I was not offered this is didn't realise it was a possibility. The 3rd time I went to hospital for excessive movements I believed i was in labour i was excited to meet our boy I was kept in over night as I was having contractions that were irregular ( I didn't realise until now that they should of rushed me in for an emergency C section) the following morning the contractions had stopped completely and as far as I was told I was in slow labour and baby could come then or in a few days so they wanted to send me home. I was given routine blood tests to which I was told I had a slight infection I asked if this would harm me or the baby i was told No as this was only slight and it should clean up by itself they decided not to give me antibiotics because I have allergies to certain medicine following this they sent me home I was exhausted I went home to which for a few days I was fine no pain normal movements ect. On the 7th of November the pain started again this time it was in my back and my front this progressed over the course of the day so I made my midwife aware that I believe this was it I was in labour I was extremely excited, I carried on my daily activities however taking it a bit easier than normal. Late that evening the pain got unbearable and our sons movements was excessive I phoned the hospital when i could not take the pain anymore this was at 1pm I explained my situation to a lady on a phone which told me to take paracetamol for my back pain and try to get some sleep and see what happened over night and I explained about excessive movements and they said they did not worry about excessive movements typically so I did what she said, Slept all night no disturbance woke up next morning felt slightly funny carried on with my day to day as was still having bad contractions that morning my mucus plug had gone I made my midwife aware she said that this was the start of things and to get on the exercise ball and not to attend hospital unless my contractions were 5 minutes apart or my waters had broke so I did this later on that evening I tried to sit and relax and I noticed I had not felt him much I thought the movements were covered by the contractions so I phoned the hospital they told me to come in I arrived at the hospital to be told no heart beat...

We are fundraising for our son to give him what he deserves a comfortable forever bed, What has happened has been a real shock to the system all of our money went to bringing him home and we wasn't able to and we now are really struggling to gather the money to give him what he needs...any donations would be very much appriciated & all proof will be shown. Thank you for reading my story & please if u cant donate please share to help us get our beautiful little angel his forever bed.
