Donald Frank Wheeler, Jr., affectionately known as “Big D”, 63, of Bridgeport, formerly of Trumbull, beloved husband of the late Michele Bing Wheeler, passed away on December 7, 2021. Donald was born on April 23, 1958 in Bridgeport, to Donald Frank Wheeler, Sr. and the late Merle Grasso.

Above all, Donald loved his family and would do anything for them. He was an extremely caring, loving and devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed every moment spent with his grandchildren. Donald was a handyman and jack of all trades who extended his helping hand to anyone in need.

In addition to his father, Donald Wheeler, Sr. and his wife Kathy, Donald leaves behind his daughters, Nicole Hunt and her husband Corey, Dannel Colon and her husband Johnny, Katie Wheeler and her husband Louis Ndreu, Brooke Wheeler and her fiancé Zachary Crowley and Emily Wheeler; grandchildren, Madeline and Aiden Hunt, Gianna, Adam and Owen Ndreu, and Matthew, Isabella and Emma-Grace Colon; his grand-dog, Patron; siblings, Linda Lacavelle and her husband Robert, Scott Wheeler, Shawn Wheeler and his wife Diane and Daniel Wheeler and his wife Heather; uncle, Roger Wheeler; and brother-in-law, Joel Bing; He also leaves his nieces and nephews, Nick and Leann Lacavelle, and Austin, Bailey, Mya, Addison and Mackenzie Wheeler; and his best friend Tom Jones and his wife Roberta.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date.
