Hi, my name is Ameya. On January 11th 2026, I alongside my fellow students will be shaving our heads at school for the Amnesty Head Shave. This doesn't just mark a fresh start and brave undertaking, it has a much greater impact behind it.

I have decided to raise money for Action contre la Faim / Action Against Hunger Canada. Action Against Hunger is a global humanitarian organization that leads the global fight against hunger. Operating in over 50 countries for more than 40 years, Action Against Hunger is dedicated to predict, treat and prevent the causes and consequences of hunger. Hunger affects 673 million people on this earth, primarily being women and children, and accounts for 45% of child deaths. These are not just numbers or facts, these are the communities and livelihood of so many around our world, and situations are only becoming more dire with poverty rates, global warming and rising conflicts.
