Help us reach our goal at 5k Mum and I are shaving our heads to help our dear friend Kelly fight cancer!

Our gorgeous friend Kelly has been diagnosed with an incredibly rare cancer in her spine called Poorly Differenciated Chordoma which doctors told her typical avenues like surgery, radio or chemo are impossible or likely ineffective against. She is extremely determined to fight this thing head on regardless and is now looking to a natural therapy that is truly giving us hope!

These therapies and other tests and medications come with massive costs, as does managing day to day life while fighting a debilitating cancer. While Kelly is currently unable to work, we are looking to our community to help support her so she can do her best to fight this thing! Kelly’s sister Lisa has already been fundraising and I’m so proud of the massive effort of our community!

I wanted to add a little fundraiser of my own, anything to ease the burden in a time like this for Kelly and her family supporting her. I thought it would be fun to shave my head to raise some money for her! I haven’t cut my hair in 5 years since I was bald when Kelly was supporting me through a similar time, so it feels full circle! Time to buzz cut these 5 years of growth! My mum Jill is going to join me and shave in support as well!!
