Head Shave for Cian's Kennels

Donation protected
I'm going BALD - I'm shaving my head on my birthday, July 4th, in aid of Cian's Kennels, a new charity being set up in my home parish of Killashee. If anyone would like to donate a couple of euro to an incredible cause I'd much appreciate it! Cian Neary was diagnosed with cancer in September 2018 and when his family asked if they could do anything at all to help cheer him up, a puppy of his own was all he wanted. A few weeks later and Cooper came home.  Spending time at home between treatments Cian and Cooper built up a phenomenal bond. In 2019 Cian was due to undergo a bone marrow transplant but in June he became very ill and he spent the next 3 months in Crumlin Children's hospital while the Neary family were based in the Ronald McDonald House.  Cian pined for Cooper terribly and the Neary family managed to get Cooper kenneled nearby in Dublin where Cian visited him almost daily and this had a hugely positive impact on his remaining time in hospital. Cian sadly passed away on September 23rd 2019, aged 15, and the times he and his family spent with Cooper have become some of their most precious memories. In Cian's honour the Neary family are setting up Cian's Kennels - an animal boarding facility near the new Children's Hospital so that ill children can see their pets as often as their treatment and condition allows, giving them a sense of home and comfort through the hardest of times. All money raised through this campaign will go to Cian's Kennels and will have a massive impact on the daily lives of sick children in Ireland. Thank you to everyone for your interest, support and donations.
