Md Zafrul Ehsan was diagnosed with Blood cancer, Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) on 7th December 2022 when he was working as a head coach of the Bangladesh High Performance Team.

Bangladeshi Level III Cricket Coach (trained under Cricket Australia)

Md. Zafrul Ehsan acted as Head coach in more than a Hundred (100) 1st class matches like BCL and NCL. He is the only figure from Bangladesh with this record.

He was appointed as Head Coach in the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) 7 times and was Champion for 4 times which was a big success.

He worked in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) for 5 years and was head coach of Sylhet Sixers-2017-18 (5th edition)
