Hi, my name is Delilah, and I’m creating this fundraiser for someone who truly means the world to me — Jeffrey Traylor.

Jeffrey was kind enough to babysit my dog, and in the middle of the night, while he was asleep in his bedroom, a burner that had been left on in the kitchen caused his home to catch fire. When he realized what was happening, everything changed in an instant.

In that terrifying moment, Jeffrey didn’t think twice. He made sure he got himself out safely — and then made sure both his dog and my dog were safe. I will never be able to fully put into words how grateful I am that he saved my dog. Knowing he risked his own safety to make sure they all made it out alive is something I will carry with me forever.

Because of his bravery, all lives were saved. But the fire took everything else.

Jeffrey escaped with only the clothes he was wearing. His home, his belongings, his memories — everything he owned was lost in the fire. To lose your entire life in a matter of minutes is something no one should ever have to experience.

Jeffrey is one of the most selfless, kind-hearted people I know. He’s the type of person who would do anything for someone else without hesitation — and now he’s the one who needs help.

I want to help him in any way I possibly can. This GoFundMe is to support Jeffrey as he begins the incredibly difficult process of rebuilding from nothing. The funds will help cover immediate needs like clothing, food, and temporary housing, and help him take the first steps toward starting over.
