My name is Lydia, and I’m reaching out because my service dog, Junior Dean, is facing the fight of his life. Junior has been with me since he was an 8-week-old puppy, and for the last 8 years he has been more than a pet — he has been my guardian, my stability, and the one soul who has never failed me.
Junior Dean is my seizure-support dog. He has woken me up before episodes, kept me from injuring myself, and stayed glued to my side during moments when I was terrified and helpless. He has carried my fear on his back and given me a life I never thought I’d get to live. He’s my safest place.
A few weeks ago, everything changed. Junior suddenly started limping, and the vet confirmed one of my biggest fears: his ACL is torn, and without surgery, he will continue to live in pain and slowly lose the ability to walk. Watching him — the same dog who has protected me through medical emergencies — struggle to stand has shattered me. He looks at me like he’s trying to be strong for me, even while he hurts.
The surgery he needs is around $6,000. It’s a number I simply cannot reach alone. I never imagined I’d have to ask for help like this, but Junior Dean has given me eight years of loyalty, protection, and unconditional love. I owe it to him to fight just as hard for him as he has fought for me.
If you can donate, share, or even send a kind message, you are helping my best friend get the chance to run again, to work again, and to live without pain. Junior is not “just a dog.” He is my lifeline — and right now, he needs all of us.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for helping save Junior Dean’s mobility, comfort, and happiness.
