Hi everyone,

My name is Alexa, and I’m asking for help for a very special dog named Patch.

Patch is a one-eyed French Bulldog who came into my life unexpectedly. I was asked to foster or possibly adopt him, and working in the animal field, I couldn’t say no. I knew he needed help, but I had no idea how severe his condition truly was.

When I received Patch, he came with only a leash and harness, both covered in urine and feces. He was extremely malnourished, weak, and clearly neglected. It was absolutely heartbreaking to see the state he was in.

Despite everything he’s been through, Patch is incredibly resilient. He deserves a chance to feel safe, loved, and healthy.

Right now, Patch needs extensive veterinary care. I am concerned about his eye, as he appears to be partially or fully blind in the one eye he has left. He will require exams, possible specialist care, medications, and ongoing treatment to get him back to where he should be.

I do work in the veterinary field (general practice and cardiology), and I will be doing everything I can to help him, but unfortunately, I don’t receive discounts for the level of care he needs.
