He Lost His Father, Let’s Not Let Him Lose His Education.

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to share the story of my closest friend, Aayan Jha, a bright and ambitious student pursuing his major with Biology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Aayan’s journey to the United States was filled with hope and dreams of building a better future—not just for himself, but for his family back in India.

Aayan’s father was a dedicated NGO doctor who spent his life serving his people. He was not just a father but Aayan’s greatest inspiration. Growing up, Aayan would watch his father tirelessly care for others, often putting the needs of patients above his own. His father’s compassion and selflessness were what inspired Aayan to pursue a career in healthcare.

Tragically, a few months ago, Aayan’s father passed away due to a sudden heart attack. The loss was devastating—not only emotionally but financially. His father was the main support for the family, and his passing left them struggling to manage even basic necessities. Aayan, who had been working hard to support his education, suddenly found himself in a situation no student should have to face—choosing between grieving for his father or fighting to keep his education alive.

The bills started piling up, and with no steady income, Aayan is now facing the possibility of losing his spot at UAB. His tuition for the upcoming semester is $20,000, and without it, he risks not only his education but his student status in the United States. I have watched him work tirelessly, trying to make ends meet while carrying the weight of his father’s loss on his shoulders. But the burden has become too much to bear alone.

Aayan is not just another student—he’s a son who lost his hero, a dreamer who came to America to build a future, and a friend who deserves a chance to succeed. I am reaching out because I know how hard he has worked, how deeply he cared for his father, and how much this education means to him.

If you believe in the power of community, if you understand the weight of losing someone you love and still pushing forward, I ask you to consider helping Aayan. Every donation, no matter the size, brings him one step closer to continuing his education and honoring his father’s legacy. If you cannot donate, a simple share would mean the world to him.

Let’s come together to help Aayan rise above this tragedy and keep his dream alive.

Thank you for your support and belief in his future. He needs me, you, and all of us.
