Fundraiser for David Carlisle - We Believe ❤️

Dave was born with Spina Bifida. This has caused a variety of issues throughout his lifetime. On August 16, 2019, an ambulance was called to get David. David had an open wound that got infected, and he did not tell anyone. Because of his diminished feeling below his waist, he did not know how bad it really was. Also, David is super private about his issues with his disability and is not one to share about anything concerning his body. His arrival at the Emergency Room at EAMC prompted an emergency life-flight to Emory. Every doctor that we encountered told us that it would be a miracle if he survived and how critical and serious that his condition was. In the first surgery they removed most of his abdomen from the belly button down, his backside, and other places as well. They did not expect him to survive. He did. He will have to have other follow-up surgeries every 2 days. He will have to be put under with anesthesia to change his dressings until further notice. In the meantime, his parents, Ginger and Leslie are by his side. As of now, if David survives, he will be in Atlanta for the foreseeable future. We have been told that it could be two years or longer for a full recovery. David is very special to so many people. Please consider helping this family through this tough time.
