On October 7th I lost my husband of 28 years, Cayetano Coronado, after several bouts of illness. He had been through many ups and downs starting with his kidney failure in 2014.

When I met him, he aspired to be in law enforcement. On the same day we married, May 28, 1997, he became a certified Deputy Sheriff. He served as a Deputy Sheriff for 13 years before becoming a correctional officer. He then served as a correctional officer until they medically retired him.

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He served his community not only as a Deputy Sheriff, but as a coach for local Softball and Football teams.

We are raising funds to cover hospital bills and funeral expenses. This year alone he had a 103 day hospital stay, and surmounted death four times between March and June of this year.
