He Fights for Others, Let’s Fight For Him!
Meet my brother, Matthew. On March 14, he will be 39 years old. Last Spring it was discovered that he had cancer in his stomach. He did oral chemotherapy last summer and in November he did a follow-up colonoscopy and endoscopy, where they removed a softball sized tumor from his colon, several cancerous polyps from his colon and small intestines, along with cancer in his esophagus. The oral chemo along with other medications was several thousand dollars a month. Currently, he is taking chemo treatments every 2 weeks intravenously until the end of March. At that time he will have more testing to see how it’s all responding to treatment. There will also be another PET scan beginning of April. In the process, he’s also had to have his gallbladder removed due to complications.
He’s missed several days of work due to procedures and treatments and he’s doing the best he can and works as much as he can. He works for an amazing and understanding guy that helps lighten his load when needed.
Matthew is not one that likes asking others for help, he’s usually the one doing the helping. He’s volunteered for the fire department for over 20 years, including being a first responder and fire chief. He’s spent his life helping and saving others and now it’s time to help him.
Anything and everything helps and all proceeds will be used to help him during this difficult process. Ifyou’re unable to give, say some prayers and share please!!
