3 weeks ago our family got the diagnosis that no one wants to hear, your mother has terminal stage 4 cancer. It is extensive and it is in her spine, leg, pelvis, neck, and lung.  Recommended treatment right now is radiation which brought on its own challenges with transporting her comfortably. We were able to figure out a solution with pain management team. However, we are in desperate need of onsite nursing care which comes with a price of $250 a day. This is urgent as we want her to gain her strength to be a candidate for chemo. The oncologist was not certain this will happen but Mom is a fighter! We as a family we are doing everything we can to give her the opportunity to keep fighting. The nursing care will give us the opportunity to have a professional guide us on things like moving her every hour, baths, incontinence, and medications.
