HD Woodson Special Olympics Jackets

Donation protected
On Saturday, September 19, 2020 twelve Woodson Senior High School Special Olympics Letterman Jackets were stolen from my vehicle in the parking lot of the Safeway on Minnesota Ave. The jackets were a memento to honor the participants from Woodson High School's Special Olympics Team for their hard work in the classroom and their dedication in their individual sports. The Assistant Coach and I purchased them with our own money, not because we had to, but because our students earned and deserved them. They did not deserve to have someone take away from them what they have rightfully worked for. Thefts happen everyday, but not everyday do special needs kids get the opportunity to participate in sports, gain self confidence, self esteem, and better social skills. I have reported the incident to MPD and now I am reaching out for the help of the community to help my students get back what belongs to them.
