Walk with Carlos

He is the only one in Mexico.Carlos is playful, every morning he pretends to be asleep until someone comes to tickle him. He likes balls, cars, and watching TV. He loves music, especially hearing his father play guitar. When he plays with his brother, he pokes his eyes and pulls his hair while laughing... But Carlos cannot walk, nor talk - in fact - he can't even swallow on his own even though at first sight you wouldn't know that Carlos cant even do anything for himself. Every time we go to the doctors, fear encompasses us in thinking that there could be more bad news. First it was his "strange" feet, then it was the problems with his bones, his muscles, his heart, his eyes, and even his skin... We want to help Carlos in EVERYTHING, but there is no more money, we have gone through it all. We need so many things that I don't know where to begin; at this moment the most important thing is to be able to pay for electrotherapy for swallowing, that way, the fear of him choking on his own spit wont be a major worry. Also, we want to send him to school to let him lead a "normal life." Very soon he is going to need a wheelchair, he has grown significantly, and his stroller does not fit him anymore. But because of the wheelchair we also need a ramp to enter the house, and a van where he could fit... But those dreams seem to be in a distant future. TODAY, we need the money to pay the doctor consultations, medicine, and even gas to take him from his therapies in CRIT.
