Mission Trip to Seoul, South Korea

Hi everyone! My name is Funto and I’m reaching out to invite you to partner with me on an upcoming mission trip to Seoul, South Korea, where I’ll be serving with Imprint church through worship outreach, street missions, and creative evangelism.

Who am I?

I’m currently a fourth-year student studying medicine at Imperial College London. I’m passionate about trying new things, stepping into unfamiliar spaces, and embracing new experiences with faith and curiosity.

Although I grew up in church, I came to a point where I realised that inherited faith wasn’t enough — I needed a personal relationship with Christ. Since then, my walk with God has been one of deep reflection and growth. I’ve found that the more I dig into scripture and its power, the more I’m transformed by it.

My own faith journey was shaped by the people around me — friends who reflected Jesus so clearly that I wanted to know Him for myself. Now, I want to be that for someone else.

If I could be likened to anything, it would be the sun in spring: warm, gentle, and illuminating. I want others to see Christ in my character, and to know that the hope, truth, and peace they long for can be found in Him. My desire is to point people to Jesus — because He is the answer.

Why I’m Going

This trip is more than an opportunity — it’s a calling. Recently, God has been reminding me that the need for Christ is global. The world — not just the UK — is desperate for hope, truth, and real connection. I want to step into that need, to share the gospel in a place I’ve never been, with people I’ve never met, trusting that God is already at work.

How I Hope to Serve

I want to connect with young adults — people in that crucial space where they’re weighing up what matters and deciding who they want to follow. God has given me the ability to build trust and have meaningful, transformative conversations. I genuinely believe those are some of the moments where Jesus shows up the most.

To make this mission possible, I’m raising £1000, which will cover:

Flights + Transport – £480

Accommodation – £320

Living costs – £200
