Please Help Honor Charlotte Mackenzie

Hi, my name is Erryn. I’m Charlotte’s (Charlie’s) youngest daughter. My mother had four children in total .
My mum was a local to Williamstown.
She was a breast cancer survivor and struggled with mental health. From my understanding, she was working at the time of her passing.
My mother was a bubbly, courageous, and productive person who liked to keep busy. She was a loving and caring person, to say the least. Charlie was selfless and loved her children and her partner at the time, Ian, whom she was with for close to two decades.
Then, sudden tragedy struck—a roadside accident.
Losing a loved one is hard, especially when it’s a significant parent. It has been some time since my mum’s sudden passing. I was in sheer disbelief, angry at the world, unable to come to terms with what life had dealt my mother and the ripple effect it had on myself and our family. Mums are important, as are dads too.
On June 30th, 2017, my dear mother, Charlotte Mackenzie, was struck by an oncoming truck in West Footscray, Victoria,(Beside Bunnings west footscray) , On geelong Road.
while attempting to cross the road as a pedestrian. She was 56 years old. The accident resulted in her instant death. I have some of my mother’s ashes, but I would like to have a place where people and I could go to lay flowers, and where all who knew her could do the same.
As time goes by and with no funds to make this happen, I am hoping for the kindness and generosity of the community to help create a place of peace. A memorial plaque for my mum would ensure that people know she existed and provide a place for those who knew her to visit and pay their respects.
In today’s world, everything is expensive. I would need to purchase a plot and then have a plaque placed there, which could cost anywhere from $3,000 to $7,000, plus the cost of the plaque itself and obtaining permission to place it in
memory of “Charlotte Mackenzie”, my mother.
I want to ensure that all donations will go towards the entire cost of a memorial plague and plot .
Thank you all kindly, even just for reading. Donations, big or small—anything helps.
Thank you kindly,
Erryn
