My Name is Marc Laderoute I am a husband to my beautiful wife and together we are Raising 3 Beautiful children.. Lauren, 10 Luc, 6 and Cole, 4 who has special needs (still being diagnosed under Autism spectrum) I have been a sole income earner for my family and i am self emplyed, we do not have health plans or drug plans I am raising funds to help provide nanny care for my children, drug costs and medical treatment not covered by ohip and final expenses for my wife...... Please help if you can. It would mean so much to us....... We have a good support system but we are humble people struggling to survive just like most..And we would not ask if we did not need help. I have just opened a facebook account so it is posted there. Here is our story:
In February of 2015, My wife Christine went on the Berstien diet to become healthier and lose weight. She was very successful and things were going very well, Upon losing several pounds she noticed lumps under her left armpit...... from that point on things have never ben the same for our family..
On May the 8th 2015 after a mamogram, CT Scan and a biopsy it was discovered that her lymph nodes under the left arm were the size of golf balls....she was also told that she had a lump in her left breast that was 17cm, and that based on the biopsy it was Tripple negative ductile carcinoma. After more scans including Bone, MRI, CT it was seen that the cancer was only in the breast and lymphnodes, on to neojuvant chemotherapy until Sept 2015.... surgery to remove left breast and auxillary lymph nodes in October.. results returned that chemo shrank tumors but did not kill them.... 34 lymph nodes removed, 30 positive for cancer.... more scans... came back clear in November 15.. Radiation starts.... after completing radiation in January, She became very lethargic, cold sweats, no appetite, skin was melted outside like a third degree burn, a hole opened in the incision area and yellow puss was pouring out....the tissue was rotting from inside out and she was septic to the point of being admitted to emerg..... Back pain starts in mid January 2016.... blood tests show increades calcium in blood... another CT scan.... Feb 4 2016 we are told cancer is in the spine and right ribs..... Christine and I are devestated by this news.... for the next 10 days Christine gets increasingly worse, pain everywhere in her body, she is immobile at this point, she is grey..... More blood tests, hemoglobin is low, Phosphorous is low, Platelets are low, Calcium is high....
Christine is admitted to Grand River Cancer centre 2 days before her 45th birthday.....Bone scan... Cancer has spread to spine, sternum, both femurs, shoulders, pelvis, arm bones, and skull..... Last ditch effort at chemo..... 5 blood tranfusions, platelet transfusions, you name it... Oncologist says last ditch attempt chemo not working, 2 months to live,
Christine requests for funeral arrangements to be made. She has expressed to me she will not make it until summer, she has been so strong in keeping things as normal as she could through all of this, she is so weak she can no longer fight and is now confined to bed. I have had to tell the children mommy will be leaving us because she is so sick, my 6 year old son Luc asks if he can leave with her..... My heart is broken....
