Broken Window Replacement

Donation protected
On Monday, January 9th, a man decided to start breaking windows in our plaza at random. Police believe that he was experiencing a mental health crisis. From the looks of things, I believe that he is most likely homeless so I don't think I have any way to have him pay for the damage.

Unfortunately, our lease dictates that we are responsible for broken windows. Despite having a large amount of coverage for damaged property, my insurance will only cover damage to equipment inside of my business and not the window itself. Due to the size of the window, we are looking at having to pay over $3,000 to have the broken window taken down, boarded up, and replaced. This experience has been quite disheartening because it is just a random act of vandalism that we have to foot the bill for. I hesitated to start a Go Fund Me because we can technically pay for the replacement but it is essentially coming out of our pockets because the business is the sole source of income for our family. I also wanted to create some awareness because so much vandalism has impacted our city in recent years and it isn't always covered by insurance. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you everyone.
