Several months ago, my daughter came home from school and told me that during recess her friend Mikayla told her she had cancer and was scared that she would lose her hair. From that day forward my daughters have asked when Mikayla will be coming back to school and to "please help Mikayla" I have always had a soft spot for sweet little Mikayla. She is a brave , special, beautiful little 8 year old girl.  Mikayla came into this world as a little fighter. She needed a heart transplant as an infant and unfortunately is now battling cancer.  Sadly, Mikayla has lost all of her hair(which she is devestated about) as a result of chemotherapy treatments. Our goal is not only to ease the stress for Mikayla and her family but also to show Mikayla  all of the support she has from family, friends and even strangers and of course to put a nice big smile on her sweet little face. Mikayla is a lucky little girl, she has older siblings and a loving mother and father. I can't even imagine the toll his has taken on such an amazing family.
