Life Changes in an Instant

My sister, Dena Davis, was in a serious automobile accident on July 10, 2019.  It started as a normal day; she was driving to work when she saw a large truck coming at her HEAD-ON!  She tried to move out of his way, but he managed to hit her head on anyway.  I cannot describe the fear she felt at this time.  As she was trapped in a burning car, she screamed out to God and begged him not to let her die this way.  Almost immediately she noticed two of the first responders were her officers (she is in the law enforcement field).  They were able to extinguish the fire and get into the vehicle.  By this time the paramedics arrived and were able to remove Dena from the vehicle.  The person that hit her worked third shift and fell asleep while driving home.  He was not injured.  Dena, however, is injured.  Aside from cuts and bruises, Dena has a broken leg, 3 broken ribs, a fractured sternum, and a fracture in her spine.  She is also suffering from a concussion and positional vertigo.  Getting in and out of bed is a huge dilemma, not to mention the severe pain she experiences getting in and out of the house for medical appointments.  She was very active and now feels like a prisoner in her home.

Although we are all blessed - to this point there are no internal injuries and Dena is alive - Dena's life may be forever changed.  Dena is a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend to many.  Although we are all helping Dena as much as possible, it is not enough.  It's NEVER enough.  Recently, Dena has had some urgent increased expenses with her and her son.  Under normal circumstances, Dena would take on a second job or find some way to meet these new challenges.  However, she is unable to do so at this point in time.  She likely will not be able to work for at least 4-6 months.

Dena gives so much of herself to keep the middle Tennessee region a safe place; now Dena is in need of our help.  Thank you in advance for helping Dena through this urgent situation.
