Support a Displaced Family After House Fire
Donation protected
Today, as I was coming home from work for lunch, I viewed my home on fire.
I've been here since 2019 when I moved from North Carolina. Everything I owned was in this house.
The memories of my kids growing up, my pictures, documents, furniture, everything... I don't even know what we are going to do because my apartment complex does not have availability for another unit at this moment, so as of right now, we are displaced. I don't know the full extent of the damage as of now because they are still working on the fire, but from what I can tell, it's uninhabitable.
If you can help in any way for myself and my three children, just know, we'll be forever grateful.
*** UPDATE*** I was able to enter my home and by the grace of God, there isn’t as much damage as I was prepared to walk into. The fire started in my neighbors apartment in which you can kind of tell from the picture. My insurance is putting my family and I in a hotel and we’re going to go from there. I appreciate all the help and prayers from you all and I will keep you all updated throughout the process.
UPDATE** we’ve been in a hotel for a little over a week and it looks like we’ll be here for a while. Servpro has came out and taken all of my items to have them professionally cleaned and free of smoke. We have our hotel booked until the end of May but staying here is getting a bit tough since there isn’t an actual fridge or stove. Eating out just isn’t financially feasible but it is becoming our norm for hot meals. I’m in the process of looking for other places to live so if you have any suggestions, please let me know. Please continue to Pray for us and donate if you can.
We’re blessed and I know God has a bigger plan for us. ❤️
