Hola friends, family, and all of you with a generous heart and a spirit of facilitating opportunity in the life of others.
My name is Carlos, I’m a proud father of four great kids (Karen, Connor, Kirsten & Sarah) the oldest married and successful in her own right, the three younger ones doing great in college. I’m a U.S. Army Special Forces Veteran with decades of service to the Regiment & country, and today I find myself taking that bold step as I transition into a new career as a Real Estate entrepreneur.
Though that huge step takes faith and action on my part—which I’m willing to exercise—it also requires a small financial start-up investment that I currently lack due to hardships and difficulties going back 14 months. It’s been a trying time for my girls and me as we’ve dealt with the huge grief of losing their mom to cancer, I suffered serious bodily injury to my left hand soon after (well on the road to recovery now, but until just recently an obstacle to effective employment), and lastly I too have battled cancer, recently completing my radiation therapy just before Thanksgiving Day.
Living off of and exhausting savings, receiving National Guard drill pay, and having adequate medical insurance has been a blessing and allowed me to provide for my young’uns as a full-time, 24/7 dad but it’s not been easy. I’m not complaining as it’s my duty and role as dad to set them up for success and I believe I have. Now, I just need a little help getting on with my next chapter in life and continuing on that road to success where I can continue to provide for my family and eventually bless others.
To enter the Texas Real Estate business as a newly licensed agent I need a start-up investment of just $3000. In the grand scheme of life it’s not a huge sum, but in my world today it’s still a lofty sum out of reach to me. (BTW: Anyone here have Mark Zuckerberg’s number?) And that is why I’m here, telling my story and humbly asking you for your support and generosity.
This investment allows me to start a business, not just get a job, and that business has huge potential for growth and success given the current Texas market, a proven business model, and driven by my SF experience & skills towards strategic planning, innovation, operations and acheiving my end-state. My goal is to commit the required financial investment this month, December 2015, and launch the New Year with a new career and a new business. Having successfully made it through the storm of the last 14 months there is no doubt 2016 will be a year of successes, blessings and prosperity, for I now swiftly move with the harnessed energy & wisdom of that storm.
The legacy impact of your generosity has no limits and is acknowledged as the most valuable blessing I receive today. I am thankful to the Almighty for the opportunity before me and eternally indebted to those with a generous heart and a spirit of facilitating opportunity in my life.
