Supporting Katrina

Hi, my name is Katie and I’m fundraising to help support one of my greatest friends Katrina in a time of so much pain, grief, and uncertainty as she continues to battle a very rare eye infection called Acanthamoeba. This infection has severely impaired the vision in her left eye. Katrina is unable to work due to vision loss, sensitivity to light, inability to drive, and unimaginable pain from this infection.

Katrina and her family have been traveling to numerous appointments back and forth from Madison to see various eye doctors which has created a huge financial burden.

Katrina’s road to recovery is a long one full of obstacles and unknowns. It is expected at some point she will need surgery and if not multiple surgeries to try and repair her vision in her left eye.
