Hi everybody,

Recently, someone stole the catalytic converter from my vehicle. While the car still runs, it is extremely loud, and I was told I need to keep the windows down while driving due to carbon dioxide/exhaust fumes entering the vehicle. With colder weather returning, this makes driving very uncomfortable and concerning for my health.

I depend on my vehicle to get to work, groceries, and basic necessities. I work about 30 minutes away and must drive on the highway, and driving in this condition does not feel safe, especially for daily commuting.

Right now, I don’t have the funds to pay for the repair. I’m still waiting to find out how much my insurance will cover, if anything, and even then there may be out-of-pocket costs I simply can’t afford. I’m also hoping to install a protective cover once it’s repaired to help prevent this from happening again.

I’m asking for help to cover:

• Repair or replacement of the catalytic converter

• Any costs insurance does not cover

• A protective shield to help prevent future theft
