Update, Lilly is really settling into farm country life. We will be seeing Doc next week about her issues.
This is Lilly (not her real name as you will understand her story). She came to my house the other night due to her owner shot themselves over the weekend. The owner had made Lilly and themselves dinner then as best could be ascertained the owner shot themselves at the kitchen table. Not sure where Lilly was at time but assumed she was in room. Police gave the friend the choice of taking dog or a shelter. They took Lilly and not knowing what to do brought to me. Knowing she’s a pitbull with her age and health issues would be a certain death sentence for her. She is very sweet but very anxious but not surprising. She does have some skin tumors and her eye is milky and swollen which will probably have to be removed. She needs all the normal stuff as getting spayed, chipped and registered. I’ve started this GoFundMe for her since Gracie my horse pretty much wiped me out with a 4 day hospital stay battling a infection that we couldn’t control and had to let her cross over to forever pastures last week. The care for Lilly Will probably be substantially more but I figured this would help get a jump start so I could get time to build finances for rest. Thank you for your support and consideration for this poor girl. She is doing relatively well here and getting along with my other dogs.
