Hey everyone,
This is not easy for me to do under any circumstance. Unfortunately for us our dad has decided he wants nothing to do with anything and will not talk to anyone either. This leaving me as the oldest sibling to organise.
William has had a long history ongoing health issues but these past couple months has been is worst. Since Christmas William as been admitted on different occasions into ICU in Bendigo and this final time, Geelong. On the 10th of April 2024 our brother Lachlan had to call an ambulance for William as he was unresponsive. It took the team of paramedics and fire fighters 2 hours to get William out as every time they thought his oxygen was stable and tried to move him it would drop. William was transported and admitted to Barwon Health Geelong into ICU. He was put into an induced coma and on oxygen. Unfortunately the oxygen became his life support, he could no longer survive without it in his current condition. William was experiencing heart and lung disease, fluid around his organs and blood clots just to name a few. William went into hospital at 24 years old and celebrated his 25th birthday in a coma on the 12th of April.
William put up a fight but unfortunately his body just had none to give. The medical team tried everything they could to help and that does not go unnoticed and their hard work and dedication is appreciated. On Wednesday the 24th of April we went to Geelong hoping for a miracle. The medical team called us in for a meeting in the morning and expressed concerns for William. They let us know every step of the way what was happening. Wednesday morning we removed the ventilator and changed how he was given oxygen he was then woken from his coma. We got to spend 2 hours with William and in the time he showed us that it was time to go. When William started trying to say his chest hurt we knew. The medical team called us in a meeting again and let us know it was time. At 2:18pm he grew his wings and was now free from pain and united with our mum.
I am trying to raise the funds so I can send him home to Swan Hill and lay him to rest close to mum and any help will be greatly appreciated.
