His name is Tyson Lennox Leavitt. He is a son, a grandson, a nephew and a brother. Most of all he’s a fighter and a 22 month old warrior for God. Unfortunately at the end of March he suffered a near drowning and although the doctors didn’t think he would make it, he is still very much with us. His recovery has been slow and uneasy, but some progress has been made. We are approaching the end of what local physicians and facilities can do for him and are now looking to take him to a doctor at LSU Health Science Center in New Orleans that specializes in brain trauma in young children due to near drownings. He has proven results in this type of treatment (see the article). This treatment is not covered under our insurance and will require us to pay it completely out of pocket at the time of treatment. Because it’s in New Orleans we will also need to cover our own living expenses for the two months that he will be under their care. The total treatment is estimated to cost about $12,000 and we estimate the housing and expenses to be about $8000 for a total of about $20,000 but we believe that Tysons life is worth far more than that. Unfortunately this has created a financial burden and we are humbly asking for donations to help cover these expenses. If you would like to make a contribution of more than $250 and would like to make it tax deductible, you can send donations to any of these 501c3:
