For those of you who may or may not know, Arizona is an incredibly strict state when it comes to their laws, especially anything having to do with drugs. Unfortunately I live here. I also happen to be someone who has been in a brutal battle with addiction for quite a few years now. As you can imagine, those two factors don’t mix well. A few months ago I was arrested while already being on felony probation. I am currently fighting 6 different charges, the most detrimental one being, “sales of a dangerous drug.” I was not selling drugs, nor did I have the amount that they are trying to charge me for. I am facing anywhere between 5 and 15 years or prison if I can’t pay my lawyer.
I know that this is incredibly last minute, but I was counting on something that ended up falling through. The only way that I’m able to make money requires a car and my car currently has some serious issues that make it nearly unusable. I’ve been trying to raise money through a couple different avenues of work but there’s just no way that I can make this much with so little time left.
I found a lawyer who believes that he can get my charges dropped, if not, probation. I was able to come up with the $1,000 dollar retainer fee, thanks to the help of everyone who’s donated. He’s agreed to a payment plan of $2,000 on September 9th and another $2,000 on October 9th.
I am 19 years old, 4 months sober, and truly working to change my life for the better but I’m struggling. I’m doing this all on my own and I need help. I’ve made a lot of poor choices but all I can do now is move on and make a positive change for myself. Any help from anyone who sees this would be so greatly appreciated.
If anyone is in need of having any work done, please contact me. My skills include, but are not limited to...
• Housekeeping
•Outdoor work such as gardening, weeding, etc.
•Babysitting (ages 2 & up)
•Petsitting
•Tech support (I worked at Verizon for 3 years)
•Personal assistant (running errands, taking notes/phone calls, doing the things you just don’t have time for)
•Photography
•Writing
•Art
Im a hard worker, I always make sure that the job is done well and that my employer is happy. Please, help me raise $2,000 dollars before the 9th. If I don’t, there’s a very good chance that I’m going to prison. Any help is appreciated, thank you for your time.
