Hillsborough Boys Junior Football Club has approximately 600 members and operates from the Football Factory on the Moira Road, Lisburn. We cater for boys, girls, seniors, over 35’s and a disability section within the club. We have 40 teams which train each week and take part in games across Northern Ireland weekly. As well as weekly training we also provide summer camps, educational workshops, tournaments and many other events.
With the suspension of football due to the ongoing Covid 19 situation we are continually engaging with our members to provide online support, education and fun activities and have recently launched our Mental Health Hub with a series of links to support our members and their families. The club is reliant on sponsors and fundraising to keep providing the best facilities and with a number of planned events now cancelled we need your help more than ever!!!
As a club we are taking on the "HBJFC 1000km Challenge!!" We want 100 volunteers from within our club to run, walk, cycle or skip 10KM. This can be a family day trip to the local park for a few laps or a good run around the local area whatever your chosen activity is we want you to have fun!! We want to see your pictures, videos, your triumphant finish and your half way wobbles!!
Our target is to raise £5000 and with our clubs commitment to Mental Health we will be donating half our total to local charity Emerge Counselling Services which is a suicide and self harm prevention centre based in Lisburn.
