HBF Berlin: Housing & Relief Team for Ukraine

Since the start of the war, our Housing Team has successfully found over 17.000 refugees short and long term accommodations in and outside of Germany. As more donations are expected in the coming weeks and the amount of refugees fleeing Ukraine is declining, we are expanding our scope of relief efforts.
Apart from funding hotels, the following projects will be funded and supported throughout the summer months.

As the number of refugees coming into Berlin and Poland have declined, we are extending our reach of help by focusing more on providing medical supplies and tactical gear to the frontline. The "Alliance of Ukrainian Organizations''  have been facilitating transport to Ukraine, as soldiers and helpers are in dire need for all sorts of supplies. They have various locations across Berlin where citizens can donate to the supply list. 

The following items are currently desperately needed. (full list under medical supplies)
       - Tactical Gear Backpacks
       - Hemostat granule and Wound Dressing (Celox)
       - Antibiotics
       - First Aid Kits

Since the start of the war, our Housing Team has successfully found over 17.000 refugees short and long term accommodations in and outside of Germany.
Located at Berlin Central Station, our first responders welcome refugees. To evaluate what's best for them and what accommodation would be most apt, we inquire on their immediate needs and long term plans. After that information is collected, our housing specialist will find a suitable accommodation. Once we get a confirmation for approved accommodation, the driver coordinator instructs a volunteer driver to transport the refugees to their temporary stay in Berlin. Volunteer Drivers will have gas costs covered (bring receipt, receive refund).

Short term: Hotels rooms, Hostels, Churches Charity Organizations. (1-7 days)

Valfair Help Group: Hands for Moms. (https://deuge.net/h4m)

The Valfair Help Group has been working with Ukrainian artists and curators who have donated their art, sculptures and paintings. Money raised through the sales of Ukrainian artwork will be used to fund the purchase of prosthetic limbs for mothers who have suffered amputations due to explosions, building collapses and infections, as well as being caught in crossfire.
There are plans to have a virtual auction in Southampton, East Hampton and Wainscott (New York, USA)
