Brothers and Sisters, we are raising money for our Sister and 4th-year Apprentice Viktoria Siok, SMART Local 58. Tragically, her house and all her belongings burned to cinders and ash on the evening of October 28th. The fire is still under investigation as its cause is still unknown. Viktoria was able to safely escape with only the pajamas she was wearing. She has lost everything and we are requesting financial help to get her back on her feet.
Viktoria was inspired to enter the trades to become a Certified Welder, and she has! She aspires to journey out and currently works at a kitchen equipment fabrication shop where she is often found welding stainless steel!
Viktoria doesn't know what the future holds, but she has made one thing clear: taking care of her Union Brothers and Sisters is her top priority. Since becoming an apprentice, she shares that she's inherited a core group of people that look out and take care of one another. As Syracuse winter sets in and the holidays are just around the corner, please consider if each of us donated the cost of a coffee how that could impact her current situation. We are unionized because we are stronger together. Please show support in keeping this value alive.
In Solidarity, a fellow apprentice.
