Haziels Saxophone

Hi my name is Haziel Gonzalez.  I am an eighth grader at El Sereno middle school in Los Angeles. I come from a low income community where college and success is not something easily accessible. Music has been an escape for me from all violence and gangs in my neighborhood. Music is my passion and I want to pursue a career as a jazz performer.

I started off in fifth grade with the guitar. Truth is, I sucked. However, in seventh grade I was put into a winds class. There I started with clarinet. I really enjoyed but then started to develop a passion for jazz. I then switched to Tenor Saxophone. Once I blew a stream of air through the instrument, I knew that it was the right thing for me and that I was going to do great things with it. Now I have played in several places, had gigs and have met many different people. Unfortunately, I am now going to high school and will not have access to an instrument.

Due to my economic issues I am not able to purchase an instrument for myself. That is why I need your support. Please help me in donating whatever you can. A 1$, 5 $, 20 bucks etc. Please, anything will help.  I want to purchase my very own Jupiter jts-1100sg Tenor Saxophone by the beginning of this summer 2020. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for your support and for hearing my story.
