Blessings to you all for your time and support Please Read.
To start off My mother has worked her entire life, a Navy Vet. Divorced mother of 3 adult children.
Never saw her sit at a desk was working in a so called "mans field" as a Xerox technician,
Always makes everyone laugh around her and has the strongest soul I've ever seen.
Retired from XEROX after 32 years of servicing all machines from Arizona, Los Angeles, Washington DC, and Virginia. After going through numerous surgeries, doing Radiation not working now doing Chemo treatments. ALL WHILE she takes full care of her now 89 year old mother. Who cannot walk very well & has a strong case of dementia.
I am Not raising money for myself but for my mother to finish her home that she started Building with her own two hands, after retiring going to care for her elderly mother before being Diagnosed.
~BEFORE all of this my mother was finishing the exterior of her home by herself.
Using her band-saw to cut planks and putting them out the window and nailing it to the outside of her home she wasn't telling me these things over the phone.
I know where to start and what she needs done to the home.
Paying some mortgage and bills for my sisters home, paying of credit card bills is just hard to watch.
I am her youngest daughter also a mother of 3.
When my mom Needs me I drop Everything and I drive 5 hours to get to her.
First Radiation now chemo She’s been fighting 5 years now.
This started years ago I would see her have serious nose bleeds. We would be sitting and laughing and out of no where her nose would bleed non-stop.I always would ask her to go check a Dr. She didn't know where to go being that
she had just moved back with my grandmother to Help her around.
I used to get my Older sister on the phone and We both started speaking to her into finding someone.
We started begging her and she finally gave in and saw someone to make an appointment
with a Dr. She Finally took some time which is very hard finding anyone my elderly grandmother to stay with.
GOD works wonders
My mother is all I have....
I remember coming home after what I thought was her last surgery. Out of nowhere I was speaking with her before her birthday, when speaking I noticed her speech was slurred. I would hear talking but not clear words like normal.
My grandmother and aunt said Nothing they were around her everyday and didn't notice
But until a cousin saw my mother I was called immediately.
Then she went to church the following Sunday Everyone noticed her face dropped on one side.
Come to find she had Facial Palsy
( When face drops on one side. Due to stoke or no blood passing through the veins.)
At first we thought it was a stroke. I KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG.
I TOLD NO ONE I PACKED that night did my regular routine and left the next morning
I spoke to the cousin that took my mother to the Dr. she said to HURRY things arent ok
The DR that recommended to put tubes in her ears said she had nerve damage and liquid build up in her ears and need to drain. After surgery I got her home and she slept I stayed 2 days before coming home. Soon after surgery it wasn't working tubes were to high and not draining so Now she was getting infected. She was calling the DR and complaining about her ears trying to get another appointment and couldn't get a call back from his office. She became a lot worse.
We made an appointment with a completely different Dr under her insurance close to Duke Hospital not in the country, but closer to the city. I was led to one of the best surgeons in Duke Hospital.
He told us exactly what was going on.
Also where everything went wrong and how he would try his best to help my mother.
Hard to watch my mother go through so many surgeries. Have you watched your mother in Pain but for YEARS and doing it while taking care of my grandmother who also falls and needs help.
Both parents were fighting cancer I lost my father to cancer April 14-2020
Before she Lost her home in VA she also has a home that my sister and I were Renting at one time-My sister ended up moving back After the one renter ended up not paying ANY rent for months! All this while she was going through ALL OF THESURGERIES ended up being almost 2 years of non payment.
My mom was first diagnosed.
After many attempts of going to serve papers Angela (renter at the time) would sick her dogs on my mother when she
would come to leave a late notice or eviction papers. After 3 or 4 court cases my mother WON the case After the woman still owes 30 something thousand dollars SHE has yet to pay my mother A CENT...
