HAZEL’S MEDICAL TRANSPORT
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Taylor Leedom, Hazel’s mom! Our daughter was born with an Omphalocele and has been at Lucille Packards in Palo Alto for just about 9 months(since birth). Stanford has been very hard for our family and continues to get harder as we watch our daughter continue to deteriorate and fight harder than ever for her life after 6 weeks of waiting for insurance to approve her transfer to Valley Childrens in Madera. As of 5/20, we are still left without an approval. For our daughters safety we need to get her out of this hospital for many reasons that I cannot list. One thing I will say is that many formal complaints have been made and contact with medical director will be occurring as son as we leave so every single thing is documented.
The last 72 hours have been the toughest on this little girl, without any sleep and in miserable pain for no one to notice how bad it really was until I came in on 5/19. I knew the look on her face wasn’t good, I immediately asked for a doctor and quickly got them moving because something hadn’t been right with my daughter for three days, per the sitters that are with her regularly and know her well. The worst part, I didn’t even know she was this uncomfortable, not one person made me aware, I walked in to something I should have known about. Here we are today, 5/20 and Hazel seems to be managed with some pain medications and I was finally able to get her to sleep. Still no answers as to what caused this as her CT scan came back with no visible perforation’s. We will see what’s to come, but our priority is her safety!
This fundraiser is going to help us pay for her ambulance transport from Stanford to Valley Childrens in Madera Once we have more money secured we can get the process moving. We cannot wait on insurance anymore.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to every single one beforehand because it truly takes a village! If your not a follower or friend on Facebook and see our story this far having our twins separated all this time and what our family has gone through, #leedomtwins
