Lifting Hazel’s Hands

Hazel a beautiful name that, in Hebrew, means “God has seen.”That is never more true than it is right now. God not only sees Hazel, He saw this before we ever did. He knows every single hair on her head.
Hazel was rushed emergently to Toledo Children’s Hospital on January 24th for emergent surgery to release pressure off her brain after discovering a brain mass. God was watching Hazel then and orchestrated all that needed to happen that night to keep her safe. Hazel has since transferred to Mott’s Children’s Hospital where further testing is being done and a plan being formed for the next steps that need to take place.
Amy, Todd, Olivia, and Hazel all have an amazing faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have already been told stories, from Amy, of God’s provision even in these first few days. There is no doubt in any of our minds as we pray God is and will continue to show up in ways that show He is walking right alongside Hazel and her family. Not knowing how long this hospitalization will be nor the extent of treatment and follow up after, I offered to start this page to help alleviate the financial burden that comes with having a sick child. Help us be the church to this family and just show them even more how God works through His people and provides for every need. If possible would you please prayfully consider a donation to help meet their needs while they stay with Hazel and help her through this uncertain future. I have no doubt God will meet each and every one of their needs, so most importantly will you lift Hazel and her family up in prayer on a regular basis please? Financial assistance is very much appreciated but the absolute best thing we can possibly do is pray for this family. Pray for peace than passes understanding, pray for them to be strong enough to resist the enemy and his lies, pray for a strong marriage to grow only stronger, pray for complete healing in Hazel’s body, and pray for God’s will to be done as we know He works for the good of those who love Him!
Thank you everyone for lifting this family up. I can’t help but think of Moses, Aaron, and Hur.
“As long as Moses held up the staff in his hand, the Israelites had the advantage. But whenever he dropped his hand, the Amalekites gained the advantage. Moses’ arms soon became so tired he could no longer hold them up. So Aaron and Hur found a stone for him to sit on. Then they stood on each side of Moses, holding up his hands. So his hands held steady until the sunset. As a result, Joshua overwhelmed the army of Amalek in battle.” Exodus 17:11-13
This unfortunately is going to be a very long battle. Let’s not wait for them to become too tired, let’s start holding them up right now!
