Hazelnut Healing Fund

Our beloved greyhound Hazel came to us in 2017 as a rescued former racing dog and it's been such a joy to see her blossom from the shy, nervous pup we first met at the shelter into the nutty, loving person she's become.

After an initial trip to her vet for what was thought to be a simple infection of her ankle joint, Hazel had to be rushed into an emergency vet last night, her leg swollen to the point of rupturing.

The good new is that she is doing well and her prognosis is good. The bad news is the the estimated costs of her diagnostic work and required surgery have snowballed to way beyond our means (especially because this has all happened during the New Year weekend requiring us to rely on emergency care). We would be so incredibly grateful if you could find a way of helping with Hazel's vet and surgery bills to help restore her to her healthy, happy self!

Our estimate is based on the high-end quote from the vet as well as some costs already incurred. We will adjust (and hopefully lower!) the requested amount once we know the actual costs.
