Thank you for taking a moment to read about Hazel’s journey.

Hazel is a loving mother, wife, sister, friend and a devoted teacher. We have started this fundraiser to help cover a life saving liver transplant for her. Hazel is being placed on the transplant waiting list at Emory University in Atlanta.

At the age of 13 she was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis. She received a liver transplant at the age of 16 in June 2001.

January of this year she was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cirrhosis. She is currently hospitalized due to her liver disease and is also facing chronic organ rejection.

The funds raised will help cover her medical costs for her transplant.

Hazel’a beautiful smile and toughness has many times masked the pain that she’s endured since childhood. This transplant will truly be the gift of life for her and her family.
