Hazara Council of Great Britain (HCGB) has launched this campaign to help vulnerable families in Afghanistan who are struggling with extreme poverty under the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown.

With 60% of the Afghan population living under the national poverty line, Covid_19 pandemic has presented yet another unprecedented life-threatening challenge for the poor people of Afghanistan. The imposition of the lockdown measures on major cities including Kabul has further aggravated poverty in the country. Many people have lost their livelihoods and their basic source of income due to an unforeseen increase in unemployment rates in the past few weeks. This in turn has made it impossible for poverty-stricken families to meet their basic needs including food and medicine. We raise fund to help relieve poverty under Coronavirus quarantine by providing vulnerable and disadvantaged families with essential support such as food, medicine, and sanitary products in Kabul’s Dasht-e-Barchi neighbourhood.
